The snow has finally melted, so I have decided to take down the picture of the winter scene on my header pic (see above) and put up one of flowers. But due to the cold and snow and the general state of FAILURE that this Iowa winter has been there were no flowers, so I had to post a pic of some flowers that I gave Erin a few weeks ago. I think it looks weird with the name of my website. “One Man Against the Night”, you’d expect some sort of horrible, dark, and gloomy picture. Oh, well, this website is a reflection of the weirdness that is in my bran. I mean my brain.
For those of you who want a real good cry, you should go over to one of my wife’s blogs. She’s been writing a blog about our miscarriage, and you can find it here. I’m serious though, it is so well written it will move your heart, unless you’re an evil scrooge. My sweetie is very good with the written word and a lot of what she says there is also on my mind. For those of you who have wondered, we decided to name our baby Elijah. For the reasons why, read here entry here. Like I said, I could explain why we chose that name, but Erin is much better with words than I am. But all my faithful readers of this blog will have already known that.
The boys continue to get sick and they also continue to give it each other. It’s been this vicious cycle. And of course, with Ryan being allergic to Amoxicillan, he can only get the expensive meds. It reminds me of that great song “Classical Rap” by P.D.Q. Bach that says:
“The baby’s allergic to cotton, not silk,
“The cat can only drink Gerbil’s milk!”
For those of you who don’t know who P.D.Q. Bach is, you are missing out on one of the greatest classical music comedy geniuses. I will explain later if necessary.
Well, that about sums it up for family updates. My, but we’re a boring bunch aren’t we?
Peace out, dudes!
